• Tea Polyphenols
Tea polyphenols have a strong stimulating effect on the gastric mucosa. The higher the degree of fermentation of tea, the more tea polyphenols are oxidized, the less irritating the gastric mucosa, and the milder the tea, such as fully fermented teas such as black tea and oolong tea. In contrast, non-fermented tea, such as green tea, has not been fermented, so many tea polyphenols are retained in the tea leaves. People with poor gastrointestinal function will easily cause abdominal pain, dry mouth and throat, and other discomfort symptoms after drinking tea.
